METRON Energy & Industrial Projects is seeking an Instrumentation and Control
Systems Engineer who will be responsible for supporting and actively
participating in detailed Instrumentation & Control Systems engineering activities
in a variety of Oil & Gas projects.
As a successful candidate, you will take ownership of applicable engineering
deliverables such as Instrument Datasheets, Cable Schedules, Instrument Indexes,
I/O lists, Cause & Effect Charts, and design drawings such as PLC Panel Layout
Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, Installation details, etc.
In this position, you will interface with project managers and other discipline leads
to ensure accuracy and consistency across engineering packages, from the design
to the construction phase.
Responsibilities
• Prepare Instrument Datasheets, Instrument Indexes, I/O Lists, Cable
Schedules, Cause and Effect Charts and Logic Diagrams
• Perform instrument sizing calculations.
• Contribute to the development of P&IDs from an instrumentation and
controls perspective.
• Co-operate with the design and drafting team to produce instrumentation
drawings such as Instrument Wiring Diagrams, Instrument Installation Details,
Junction Box and PLC Panel Layout and Wiring Drawings
• Perform technical evaluations of instrumentation equipment
• Review and comment vendor documentation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering
• Fluency in English language
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, strong communication skills,
problem solving abilities
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
