Our first new property will open in Mykonos, designed by the world-renowned Rockwell Group. Nestled in the bay of Kalo Livadi, it features 88 sea-view rooms and suites, five private villas, two signature restaurants, a world-class spa and wellness centre, and experiences designed for every generation, from sunrise yoga to golden-hour gatherings overlooking the Aegean Sea.
What you will Do
The Director of Engineering will be responsible for the overall management, operation, and maintenanceof the hotel’s physical assets and engineering systems. This includes ensuring that all building systems—such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life-safety systems, elevators, and energy management—operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with local regulations and brand standards.
The role encompasses preventive and corrective maintenance planning, capital project oversight, andenergy conservation initiatives aimed at cost control and asset longevity. The Director of Engineering willlead and develop the engineering team, manage contractors and suppliers, control departmental budgets,and ensure continuous operational readiness to support guest satisfaction and uninterrupted hoteloperations.
In addition, the position plays a key role in health, safety, and environmental compliance, emergencypreparedness, and sustainability initiatives, while working closely with the hotel’s executive team to alignengineering operations with business objectives and guest experience standards.
The Director of Engineering will active participate in the handover of the new hotel.
What you need to bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel engineering management, preferably within a luxury 5-star or resort environment.
- University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent command of the English language
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, high-pressure situations, and emergency responses.
- Familiarity with engineering management software and energy optimization systems.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability standards
