Site Manager


The Site Manager will be an integral member of our core construction team. He/she will be responsible for the construction of the company’s projects, leading construction related engagements, overseeing construction activities, and ensuring the high quality of deliverables to Grammikos’ clients.

As a member of Grammikos Group, you will be involved in the entire process of launching and implementing new development projects, from the early stages of handling the construction preparation, until the new owners’ step into their home. 

Τhe position involves 6 days of field work.
 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations on-site for residential construction projects in Athens, ensuring efficient execution of work, adherence to project schedules, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage all phases of construction for large residential buildings, from excavation and foundations to finishing and handover.
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of on-site workers and subcontractors, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction team and the office, with regular communication with the construction administrators and direct reporting to the Project Manager.
  • Handle direct communication with clients, addressing their questions and concerns regarding project details, materials, and timelines.
  • Ensure the coordination and scheduling of sub-contractors and suppliers to maintain seamless project flow.
  • Monitor the safety and environmental standards on site, making sure the work environment is safe and compliant with legal and company requirements.
  • Review and resolve any potential issues or delays that arise on-site, collaborating with the project team to find solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to the project manager and stakeholders on the progress of the work, highlighting any risks or deviations from the schedule.
  • Manage and enforce the working hours schedule, ensuring timely project completion while adhering to the required work hours, with flexibility for weekend hours as needed.
  • Foster a professional and respectful working environment, ensuring clear and effective communication with all team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering / architect/ mechanical engineer. Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in construction management of residential/hospitality projects, preferably large scale (over 1.000 sqm)
  • Hands - on experience in construction documentation.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Experience in management and coordination of multiple construction engagements/Sub Cos.
  • Solid corporate background.
  • Ability to lead and oversee multiple tasks in parallel.
  • Excellent use of MS Office and task management apps
  • Know-how in use of AUTOCAD
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Familiarity working with procedures and processes, yet, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Problem solving and result - oriented attitude, positive thinking.
  • Team player with affinity to multilevel communication.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills (both Greek and English).
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
