What You Will Work On
Reporting to the Facilities & Expansion Manager you are responsible and accountable to:
- Oversee and coordinate the facilities matrix management of maintenance teams across all stores and facilities
- Monitor maintenance and cleaning activities, ensuring efficient contract management of third-party contractors and partners
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and technical regulations
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with the Group Procurement Department as needed
- Conduct regular site visits, document findings, and implement necessary actions
- Maintain and update all relevant records related to Facilities Management (FM) and Energy matters
- Support the development and implementation of a detailed energy optimization action plan.
- Identify opportunities to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and enhance sustainability
- Implement projects in accordance with the approved RRF plan
- Support the development of the company’s sustainability strategy and promote sustainable practices and solutions
- Ensure adherence to IKEA guidelines and best practices in facilities management
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and technical regulations
- Experience in budget management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization
- Ability to work with third-party contractors and manage service agreements
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives is a plus
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
