As an Order Taker at Conrad Athens The Ilisian, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, primarily by taking and processing food and beverage orders over the phone or in person. Your communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction will be key in ensuring that dining experiences are seamless and enjoyable. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure that guest preferences are accurately understood and fulfilled.

Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately process food and beverage orders from guests via phone, in-person interactions, or digital platforms.

• Display thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special dietary needs, to assist guests with their selections.
• Utilize the POS system efficiently to input orders and communicate orders clearly, providing timely feedback to the kitchen staff.
• Engage with guests to clarify specific requests, preferences, and any modifications to their orders.
• Provide insightful recommendations regarding daily specials, wine pairings, and menu highlights.
• Coordinate closely with the Room Service team, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery of orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace in full compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Address guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel or upscale dining environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in both Greek and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for enhancing guest experiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with POS systems and order management software is highly desirable.
• Enjoys working as part of a team and demonstrates a positive and collaborative attitude.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
