The Social Media Community Management Specialist plays a key role in maintaining MSC’s online presence by actively managing interactions across corporate social media platforms. This position ensures timely and accurate responses to user inquiries, supports digital customer service, and safeguards the company’s reputation. The role also contributes to daily industry monitoring, content review, and performance reporting, also working with internal teams and local agencies to deliver a consistent and responsive social media experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and read all activities received across MSC’s corporate social media platforms, including direct messages, comments, and post mentions.
- Categorize and prioritize interactions to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
- Reply to users by providing accurate information or guidance.
- Liaise with local agencies to resolve customer service issues or forward sales leads.
- Inform the GVA team of any issues that could harm MSC’s reputation or require PR attention.
- Create a daily report of articles related to MSC, competitors, and the shipping industry.
- Review and approve targeted social media posts to ensure alignment with brand tone and messaging.
- Generate various reports on statistics derived from MSC’s social media activity.
- Accurately tag interactions to support internal workflows and reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in communication and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work in shifts (8:00–16:00 and 12:00–20:00).
