The primary goal of LG is to deliver technical, third-party assessment, certification, and training services to contribute towards quality safety, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance.
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Ship Classification & Statutory Division, responsible for ensuring vessels meet classification standards and statutory requirements under international maritime regulations.
Key responsibilities:
• Conduct technical reviews and approvals for classification and statutory compliance.
• Provide technical support for surveys and inspections.
• Coordinate with clients on compliance and certification matters.
• Apply and interpret maritime rules, conventions, and regulations.
• Monitor and implement updates to maritime legislation.
Prerequisites
• BSc or MSc or equivalent level of qualification in engineering or naval architecture, knowledge and experience in both disciplines would be beneficial;
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience (examples: Shipbuilding, Small Craft Construction, Marine Engineering Consultancy, Classification Societies, Technical department of Shipping company);
• Excellent communication and reporting skills in English;
• To use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to optimize the application of existing and emerging technology;
• To be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to the analysis and solution of engineering problems;
• Ability to work both independently as well as an effective member of a team;
• Software knowledge (Autocad, MaxSurf, Rhino, NAPA etc.)
