What is the challenge?
- Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
- Maintains the general ledger.
- Sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
To be successful in this role, your experience should include
- University/College graduate degree in accounting and/or Finance or related field
- Experience in the Real Estate/Development sector will be considered as a plus
- at least 2 years experience in Taxation and VAT
- Well organized and dedicated to ensuring delivery of deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with colleagues and associates
- Team player with flexibility and willingness to support
- Fluent in Greek and English
- Computer literate – very good knowledge of Windows & Microsoft Office
