 Accounting Specialist

          Job Information:

Office Location: Thessaloniki | Greece

Department: Finance

Contract: Full Time | Permanent 

Your main responsibilities

• Responsible for performing monthly/annual closure cut-off procedures and ensure monthly Trial Balance completeness, accuracy, timeliness.
• Participate in projects & other continuous improvement/transformation initiatives.
• Lead accounting operational teams
• Prepare and submit accounting entries and postings of invoices that need special treatment (PPE entries, depreciation, accruals & provisions, payroll, etc).
• Perform accounting reconciliations.
• Review & correct accounting entries.
• Review & investigate vendors' debit balances.
• Ad-hoc requests that may arise from management.
• Support year-end audit by coordinating with auditors.

Required Education/ Qualifications/ Other Accreditations

• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant and Team Leader for 3-5 years.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of taxation (VAT issues, Income tax and withholding taxes).
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• A professional qualification (ACCA or IESOEL) would be a plus.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in IFRS would be a plus.
• Very good knowledge of Entersoft ERP would be a plus.
• Spanish Language would be a plus.
