Hiring Solutions Team by kariera.gr, is seeking to recruit a Chief Accountant on behalf of our client.

Main responsibilities

• Prepare accurate general ledgers by the designated deadlines each month
• Manage the monthly closing process for all respective entities for both management and statutory requirements
• Ensure that revenue and expenses are registered in General Ledger and manage the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Certify VAT reports and tax packages for the respective entities
• Keep the books in compliance with tax and statutory all the time & ensuring the performance

Main Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Financial or Economics
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline will be preferred
• At least 5 years of management experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified and at least 10 years of overall accounting skills and experience
• Excellent knowledge of legal entities taxation (income tax, benefits in kind, withholding taxes, VAT, stamp duties, real estate)
• Good knowledge and experience with IFRS
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the Organization
• Strong Excel skills to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports/statements
• Experience in working with ERPs/accounting software
• Knowledge in Microsoft Navision will be preferred
• Excellent use of English and Greek language
• Skills in organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling personal workflow
• Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
• Holds an A’ class accountant license
