We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant for our fast growing Finance team in Heraklion, Crete.
Responsibilities
- Registration of the Accounting ledger entries (expenses, assets etc)
- Supervise the reconciliations for the month end / year end closing processes
- Participation in the preparation process of the Financial Statements under the Greek GAAP and IFRS
- Interpret and implement the Group accounting policies and Company’s Agreements along with the Greek legislation
- Preparation of the data that are used for the corporate tax returns, (VAT, CIT, etc.)
- Ensure all the accounting deadlines are met
- Communicating and Cooperating with the public authorities and the Auditors for accounting issues
- Lead , supervise and develop a team of Junior Accountants
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related fields
- MSc in Accounting or ACCA will be considered as a plus
- Minimum 6 years of combined experience in relevant roles
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Team oriented attitude
- Willingness for perpetual learning and development
