ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of our client, a multi-industry group of companies active in the shipping, energy, information technology, real estate and logistic sectors, is looking for

a Senior Accountant.

📌 Location: Athens, Attiki
🖋️You will be reporting to: Accounting Supervisor

What you will do:

• Recording of accounting entries using the local accounting software and maintaining the relevant supporting documents.
• Monitoring the requirements of MyData and performing all necessary actions through accounting software and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).
• Performing procedures related to Fixed Assets (recording purchases, calculating depreciation, checking depreciation, and reconciling the Fixed Asset Register with the General Ledger).
• Performing procedures related to cash transactions (payment scheduling, reconciliation of cash in hand, cash in banks, and credit/debit cards with the General Ledger).
• Carrying out regular reconciliations with customers and suppliers and reconciling various records with the General Ledger monthly.
• Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with Greek legal requirements.
• Assisting in the implementation of financial systems and procedures.
• Supporting the preparation of all tax returns and ensuring their timely submission (VAT, withholding taxes, Contract List, VIES, etc.).
• Supporting communication with the Tax Authorities and the General Commercial Registry (GEMI).
• Managing ad hoc projects and actively participating in all accounting activities as required.
  
  

What we are looking for:

• Graduate of a University or Technological Institute (AEI/TEI) with a specialization in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a structured/company accounting department.
• Knowledge of the Chart of Accounts, the Greek General Accounting Plan (E.G.L.S.), VAT, and the Code of Tax Recording of Transactions.
• Experience in team management.
• Experience with computer systems and software
• Excellent command of English
