Accountant

Scope of role: Support the Accounting Operations for a Group of 5 properties to ensure accurate, timely and consistent bookkeeping in accordance with policies and procedures, and local statutory and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Post bank and accounting transactions and perform monthly reconciliations

• Maintain the general ledger under the guidance of senior finance management

• Prepare account reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing

• Assist with tax audits and provide documentation to external auditors

• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and local statutory and tax requirements

• Prepare financial reports and provide data and analysis to management

• Contribute to the improvement of accounting systems, processes, and procedures

• Maintain a hands-on role in daily accounting activities, including GL postings

Qualifications:

• University degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field

• Have 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in hospitality

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and local statutory and tax regulations

• Highly proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Work well independently and as part of a team
