Job Description:
METKA ΑΤΕ, as a subsidiary of METLEN, has long-term experience in the infrastructure sector, holding a seventh class contractor's certificate and now specializes in construction activities, undertaking infrastructure projects such as road construction, certified buildings, railway, marine projects, etc., as well as solid and liquid waste management projects.

We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our Finance General Division in Athens. By joining this role, you will stay up-to-date and compliant with accounting, tax, and HQs rules, policies, and requirements of the legal entities.

Your role will encompass:

• Supporting annual, semi-annual closing process.

• Being responsible for monthly reconciliations of trial balance, customers and suppliers.

• Preparing and monitoring of accounting entries.

• Monitoring of Key Accounts Receivable/Payable.

• Supporting internal and external audits.

• Liaising with business, accounting and other departments for accurate preparation on payment orders.

• Assisting the team on daily reports for internal purposes.

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or another appropriate academic major.

• 5+ years of working experience in accounting department, Finance or Bank environment.

• Good knowledge of Accounting and the General Chart of Accounts/IFRS.

• Knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.

• Knowledge of SAP (or other ERP systems) will be considered as an asset.
