The role
We are looking for a motivated professional to join our Financial Reporting team. In this role, you will handle controlling activities for our regional entities, prepare monthly IFRS reporting packages, and support the Group’s consolidation process. You will collaborate closely with external or in-house tax and accounting consultants in our local subsidiaries and report directly to the Group Controller based in Athens.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain and review accounting books, records, and entries in SAP
- Review payments and payment/ POs schedule
- Coordinate with the external tax and accounting consultants for the tax filings and ensure compliance with accounting, tax and other statutory requirements
- Prepare the monthly IFRS reporting packages for the Group reporting and consolidation purposes
- Lead the coordination of annual audit and liaise with external auditors for Statutory and Group purposes
- Maintains and enforces accounting policies and procedures
- Support the business with financial reports, and other special projects
Requirements
- 1-3 years of work experience in an Accounting Department or an Audit Firm; ERP experience preferred
- Experience gained in SAP environment would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of IFRS would be a definite plus, ACCA Professional Qualification preferred
- Excellent use of MS Office, especially in using advanced Excel
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Advanced communication skills
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- International perspective and culture
- Attention to detail, and high accuracy are critical
- Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking, innovation and time dedication
