The Recruitment Services team | Kariera Group is looking on behalf of a client, one of the largest and most well-known retail companies for electrical and electronic appliances in Greece, a Tax Compliance and Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Tax Law compliance, i.e. VAT, WHT, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing
• Preparation of accurate financial reports and statements
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Supervise month-end and year-end close process
• Review and recommend amendments to current internal procedures
• Identify and mitigate possible tax risks
• Manage and coordinate tax audits and support statutory audits
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
• Implementation of new financial tools

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position
• A’ class license as an accountant
• Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing practices
• Mastery of accounting standards and regulations, such as GAAP and IFRS
• Staying abreast of changes in tax laws are imperative
• Skilled with digital technology
