Accountant

Gerolymatos International AEBE presently requires an Accountant  to join our team and support the daily accounting and financial operations of our company.

Main responsibilities

• Accurately enter and maintain accounting entries within the company’s ledgers in compliance with Greek GAAP and IFRS.
• Oversee and process vendor and supplier invoices, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and utilizing the MyData platform for compliance.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and maintaining effective vendor relationships.
• Perform regular reconciliations of company bank accounts, verifying transaction accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Help with additional accounting and financial tasks as required to support team objectives.
•  Ensure proper organization and filing of all related accounting documentation for easy access and compliance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or another appropriate academic major.
• 2+ years of working experience in accounting department is mandatory.
• Excellent use of accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
• Good knowledge of the English language
