Group Internal Auditor (6020/GIA/ESS/GR)
Our client is a leading group in the FMCG sector, recognized for its continuous growth, innovation, and strong market presence. As part of their ongoing commitment to operational excellence, they are seeking a proactive and business-oriented Internal Auditor (Mid–Senior level) to join their dynamic team. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to build the internal audit function from the ground up. Working closely with senior management, the Internal Auditor will design and implement audit frameworks, policies, and procedures across all companies within the Group, with a particular focus on Finance and Accounting, Logistics and Production and Commercial operations.
This role reports directly to the Group’s CEO/Vice President.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal audit plans, procedures, and control frameworks across departments.
- Conduct audits of financial, operational, and production processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Review internal processes, identify risks, propose corrective actions, and monitor their implementation.
- Collaborate with department heads and managers to design and strengthen internal control systems.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior leadership.
- Provide recommendations for process improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s or professional certification such as CIA is a plus.
- 4–5 years of hands-on auditing experience, ideally from the FMCG or manufacturing sectors, gained either in-house or within a Big 5 environment.
- Solid understanding of financial and operational processes.
- Proven ability to establish audit frameworks and procedures from scratch.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, demonstrating a curious mindset and proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to show flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing situations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
- Flexibility to travel to various Group sites, both in Athens and beyond.
