Role Purpose:
The role of the Cashier within the Central Accounting Department is to ensure the accurate
and efficient management of daily cash and banking transactions, supporting the company’s
short-term liquidity and funding needs. This role plays a key part in monitoring treasury
positions, fulfilling financial obligations, and ensuring smooth and transparent cash flow
operations. The position contributes directly to forecasting liquidity needs and optimizing
short-term financial planning.
Key Accountabilities:
- Record and process all cash transactions in the system accurately and timely.
- Record and reconcile all bank transactions.
- Prepare and submit daily and periodic treasury reports (cash position).
- Define and maintain the daily and weekly payment list.
- Submit payments in the system for approval and processing.
- Monitor the daily cash position across all bank accounts.
- Manage short-term cash surpluses or deficits effectively.
- Follow up on financing agreements for cash requirements.
- Assist in the monthly close process (cash-related tasks and reconciliations).
- Prepare and reconcile monthly treasury reports and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely settlement of the company’s obligations towards suppliers, creditors,
customers, and public authorities. - Maintain clear and consistent communication with management on cash-related
matters.
Skills/Experience required:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of previous experience in a Treasury, Cash Management, or Finance Assistant role will be considered an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel); experience in ERP systems is a
plus. - Good command of English will be considered a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines.
- Strong numerical and analytical thinking.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
