Finance and Accounting Manager, Thessaloniki
- Managing the finance and accounting unit covering the accounting & tax, treasury & payments, management reporting and ERP applications.
- Make sure that all the periodical tax declarations are prepared properly and submitted on time to the tax office and other related governmental bodies (social Security etc.)
- Managing the payment processes and treasury policies of the company.
- Secures all cash related issues, ensures proper accounting of the daily cash transactions/statements and reconciliation of the daily records
- Leading the preparation of all the periodical management reports in accordance with the company’s IFRS base accounting & reporting guidelines with good accrual mentality
- Leading the preparation of all the financial projections including the annual budget, periodical future cash flow statements etc.
- Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis to the business
- Make sure that the integrations are working properly regarding cash and inventory cycle
- Managing internal and external audit process held in the company
- To fully understand and make necessary improvement requests on the software used.
- Training & development of finance team members. Preparing a team can handle all duties in hand on time and according to company standards.
- Handling of full sets of accounts of the entity according to both local and IFRS: Payables, Receivables, Inventory, FA, Treasury, General ledger
- Ensures financial controls and implementation of finance& accounting, tax and treasury procedures set by the head office
- Taking active part in the development of finance processes and procedures, methods, information and systems as well as strategies and action plans in order to set & standardize each process globally and improve performance
- Interact with all levels of the organization in their region – and across functions such as Compliance, Legal, Finance, HR, Operation
Qualifications
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration
- Proficient English level (written and verbal)
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in similar positions – experience in retail company is an asset
- Experience in local accounting and tax legislation
- ERP knowledge – MS Axapta or D365 knowledge/experience is an asset
- Experience of working in a matrix organization (directly reporting to the country manager, functionally reporting the HQ finance director)
- A leader and also a team player
- Result oriented and have excellent communication skills
- High sense of responsibility
- Eager to work in a multinational/multicultural environment
- Able to live or to relocate to Thessaloniki
