We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles to ensure the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulations, and timely reporting. You will play a critical role in our financial strategy, contribute to the effective management of our financial resources and support strategic decision-making towards the overall success of our organization.
You will be supporting the Chief Financial Officer and other personnel from the Finance Department in their daily work.
- Performs key general ledger accounts reconciliations, reviews accrual postings and performs monthly variance analysis of expenses and revenues to ensure that accounting ledgers are complete and accurate.
- Performs Month-end closing activities (reconciliation of sub-ledgers to the general ledger and posting of IFRS adjusting entries).
- Reviews Intercompany Transactions (monthly reconciliation of I/CO balances and transactions, posting of I/CO payables and receivable invoices).
- Assists with the accounting consolidation process of the Group entities leading to the preparation of accurate and complete quarterly and annual statutory financial statements.
- Performs all the tax compliance activities: direct taxes (CIT, Transfer pricing, WHT), indirect taxes (VAT, Intrastat, Listing, etc.)
- Liaise with external advisors for the preparation and submission of the annual Transfer Pricing Report
- Review and ensures My Data and tax law compliance.
- Liaises with Auditors on external tax audits and handle audits from tax authorities.
- Handles warehouse reports & assets registry
- Executes any other tasks related to the duties of the position as required
- Prepares and submits the monthly & annual tax returns (VAT, withholding taxes)
- Prepares and submits of both Vies and Intrastat
- Maintains accurate ledger, assures compliance, reviews journal entries/accounts.
- Maintains certified warehouse
- Prepares and controls payments of Tax, Stamp and Board Fees, as well as payments to insurance funds
- Manages and reviews all tax and social security related obligations
Essential qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance
- Master's degree Accounting / Finance will be considered as an asset
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of Tax and Law regulations
- Proficient user of MS Office and ERP System (SoftOne ERP & Galaxy)
- Proficient knowledge of English
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Multitasking and problem solving
