In order to support our rapid growth we are seeking to hire a Junior Accountant.
Position Summary
The Junior Accountant is responsible for a range of accounting duties, including supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, is diligent and organized, and eager to learn more about accounting within the hospitality industry.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities
The below list of essential functions, responsibilities & duties are not limited to the below list and there might be additional ones according to operational needs.
- Assist with month-end closing processes.
- Own day-to-day transactional accounting tasks, including accurate posting of journal entries (mainly expenses and fixed asset)
- Assist with the accounts payable process, including routing invoices for internal approval and ensuring timely payments.
- Monthly suppliers reconciliation
- My Data Agreement
- Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Participate in the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
