Main Responsibilities

• Maintains and implements the company's accounting plans and monitors the daily financial operations of the organization
• Prepares accounting reports and presents their results
• Monitors the accuracy of accounting entries in Commercial Management and General Accounting
• Provides support for monthly and annual closings, oversights book closure, and submission of annual income tax declaration - signs balance sheet statements
• Coordinates and monitors periodic audits by collaborating with external auditors, monitoring transactions with branches within and outside Greece
• Provides support for tax audits and tax declarations and monitors the company's tax obligations (taxation issues) and aligns the company with current legislation on tax matters, VAT, and withholding taxes, changes in tax procedures (e.g., MyData entries, etc.)
• Manages files regarding contracts, credit control, and suppliers
• Communicates with banks and public authorities
• Collaborates with company executives to define financial standards and for the process of forecasting and budgeting
• Prepares and updates the company's annual forecasting and prepares the monthly, semi-annual, and annual financial reporting to the company's management, including forecasted revenues vs invoicing, cost of goods/services
• Monitors company's payroll process
• Monitors company’s cash flow
• Supervises training and development of the team

Requirements

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Master’s degree will be considered an asset
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a relevant role in a well-organized accounts department
• Holder of A' class signatory rights
• Proficient user of MS office & SAP ERP system
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
