Our client, a well-established financial services provider, seeks to recruit a SQL Developer.

Main responsibilities

• Designs stable, reliable and effective databases
• Optimises and maintains internal software & legacy systems
• Provides the required support for all company’s applications and platforms
• Modifies databases according to requests and perform tests
• Solves database usage issues and malfunctions
• Liaises with developers to improve applications and establishes best practices
• Gathers user requirements and identifies new features
• Develops technical and training manuals
• Provides data management support to users
• Ensures all database programs meet company and performance requirements
• Supports the PMs to deploy new platforms and changes

• BA / BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Master’s Degree will be considered as a plus
• 3 - 4 years of proven experience as a Database Specialist
• In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
• Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
• Hands on experience with SQL
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken professional English
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
