Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be a key technical expert, responsible for the design, implementation and operation of security solutions for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures. Your focus will include:
· Firewall/WAF Infrastructure:
o Manage and maintain firewalls / WAF such as Checkpoint, Cisco, Imperva and ensure optimal configuration and operation in cooperation with external partners.
o Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
· EDR/NDR Infrastructure:
o Monitor, analyze, review and respond to security incidents and events from systems such as CrowdStrike and Darktrace.
o Collaborate with external vendors, suppliers and Security Operations Centers to evaluate, deploy, manage and operate security products and services.
· Collaboration & Support:
o Work closely with System and Network Administrators, IT Helpdesk and Developers on a “Security First” approach, providing guidance and support.
o Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices based on ISO 27001, NIS2 and AI Act mandates.
o Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions and educate Business Users on information security best practices.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
o Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking, or equivalent work experience
o Proven information security experience in an engineering function
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Technical proficiency in O365 and Azure environments
o Demonstrated experience with firewalls / WAF (Checkpoint, Cisco, Imperva)
o Experience implementing and operating various security solutions
o Minimum of one Cyber Security Certification from:
o CompTIA (Security+, PenTest+, CySA+),
o EC-COUNCIL (C|ND),
o GIAC (GSEC, GCIA)
o Microsoft Security certifications such as AZ-500, MS-500
o Experience with Microsoft 365 security tools (Defender for Endpoints, Defender for Office 365, Intune)
o Demonstrated experience in dealing with external vendors and suppliers
Preferred / Good to Have Qualifications & Skills
o Master’s Degree in Cyber Security
o Hands-on knowledge of security-related products and technologies (e.g., Network/Endpoint/Cloud Security, SASE, DLP, IAM, SIEM/SOAR)
o Additional Microsoft Security certifications (SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400)
o Experience with Microsoft Azure security tools (Azure Firewall, Azure WAF, Azure Policies, Microsoft Entra ID)
o In-depth, hands-on experience with multiple operating systems and networking infrastructures
o Additional Cyber Security Certifications (SECURITY+, CASP+, CISA, GIAC, C|EH)
o Ability to write custom scripting tools (Python, PowerShell, etc.) and interact with APIs
