Head EASA Compliance
Role responsibilities:
- The Head EASA Compliance is responsible for establishing and maintaining a compliance monitoring process in accordance with the specifications of EU Regulation 139/2014 and AMC1.ADR.OR. D.005, including monitoring compliance with the relevant requirements ADR.OPS, as well as any other applicable regulatory requirements, or requirements established by the Company.
- Establishes the detailed structure of the compliance monitoring, applicable to the activities conducted within IAHC.
- Once implemented, ensures these are maintained and continually reviewed to improve as necessary.
- Ensures there is a feedback system of findings to the accountable manager for effective implementation of corrective actions as necessary.
- Continuously monitors compliance with the procedures, to ensure safe activities, including, but not limited, to monitoring compliance with:
- - manuals, logs, and records;
- - training standards;
- - required resources; and
- - management system procedures and manuals.
- Defines an audit schedule to cover the entire airport operation, its management system key processes, procedures and other activities to be completed during the calendar year (a periodic review cycle for each area should be established).
- The schedule should allow for unscheduled audits when trends are identified, therefore, follow-up audits should be scheduled to verify that corrective action was carried out, and that it was effective and completed, in accordance with the policies and procedures specified in the aerodrome manual.
- Coordinates with the Safety management personnel on risk assessments and prioritizes audits aligned with the areas of highest risk.
- Ensures independence of the monitoring is maintained by ensuring that audits and inspections are carried out by personnel not responsible for the function, procedure, etc. being audited.
- Leads investigations into non-compliance / breaches of compliance for root cause analysis and agrees with a corrective action plan.
- Maintains detailed records and provides reporting to management and regulator(s), as required.
- Provides training / training support to staff on regulations and compliance.
- Remains updated with regulatory changes and best practices and ensures that regulatory changes and best practices are incorporated into policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications are considered a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory roles, such as Compliance monitoring, auditing and safety management within aviation related organizations.
- Expert understanding of airport operations, regulatory requirements and industry best practices, with knowledge of European aviation regulations and standards.
- Bilingual in Greek and English (both oral and written)
