Position Summary
The Etraveli Group is experiencing a period of strong growth, and our focus remains steadfast on maximizing core business value, meticulously monitoring financial results and profitability, and ensuring peak internal efficiency.
We are actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Controller to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a broad and impactful role where your responsibilities will be shaped to leverage your unique expertise and ensure you contribute optimally to our success. A central and critical aspect of this position will involve meticulously reconciling revenues and costs to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
You'll report directly to the Group Business Control Senior Manager. While your primary base will be our Athens office, you'll engage with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders located across our various global operations, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Performance Monitoring: Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) , revenue streams, and cost structures to provide actionable insights and ensure financial health.
- Data-Driven Financial Assurance: Provide essential support to the Finance department by conducting data-based assessments of critical revenue streams , meticulously analyzing large datasets to ensure accurate reporting of revenues and costs.
- Global Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our Business Control teams across Athens, Sweden, and Canada, fostering strong partnerships and aligning on best practices.
- Process Optimization & Controls: Lead the analysis, control, and continuous optimization of business processes . You'll focus on introducing robust controls and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, reporting insights to internal stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Actively collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders and departments on various ongoing projects, leveraging your expertise to contribute to key strategic initiatives.
- Ad-Hoc Strategic Analysis: Undertake other relevant business controlling tasks and ad-hoc analyses as needed, utilizing your background and expertise to support evolving business priorities.
Requirements
Candidate Qualifications
To succeed in this Senior Business Controller role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business , Finance , Data Analytics , or a relevant quantitative discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in roles that heavily involved managing, scrutinizing, and leveraging large volumes of business data to enhance performance and control.
- Robust analytical capabilities are paramount, allowing you to thoroughly analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Outstanding communication skills are crucial for fostering strong relationships and acting as a trusted business partner within the Group and with external entities.
- A proven ability to quickly adapt to evolving business needs and a solid history of successfully executing projects with various stakeholders across all organizational tiers.
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel is a core requirement, alongside an excellent professional level of English language proficiency.
- Familiarity with Microsoft D365 or Python is a distinct plus.
