Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes and supervises the implementation of the conditions provided by the approved restoration studies of the company's means of Generation
- Guides and supports the project supervision teams of the Department on Environmental, Health and Safety matters, ensuring collaboration with the company’s relevant Departments
- Supervises and evaluates the performance of field teams in terms of compliance with Environmental Impact Studies and Health and Safety regulations, by collecting and reviewing the relevant documentation
- Prepares and presents memos, minutes and reports on project progress, supporting the decision-making of the Department
- Coordinates the drafting of monthly reports on waste management and material disposal, monitoring project developments in relation to sustainability indicators
- Leads the organization and implementation of circular economy and zero waste methods, enhancing the sustainable management of the resources of the Department
- Conducts research and proposes improvements to material recycling methods, aiming for the continuous enhancement of the environmental performance of the projects
- Collaborates actively with the Environmental, Health and Safety Departments, ensuring alignment of actions with corporate policies and legislation
- Coordinates and updates the Department's Electronic Waste Register, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of entries
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a University or Technological Educational Institute or College or Diploma in Engineering
- Master’s degree in Engineering will be considered an additional qualification
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in positions related to Environmental, Health, and Safety matters
- Experience in solid and liquid waste management will be considered an additional qualification
- Experience and knowledge of hazardous materials legislation will be considered an additional qualification
- Experience in compliance with environmental terms will be considered an additional qualification
- Experience in Health and Safety issues on construction sites will be considered an additional qualification
- License to practice the profession of Engineer in the corresponding specialty of the degree
- Declaration certificate from the competent Regional Authority for exercising the full range of activities outlined in P.D. 115/2012 and 108/2013
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
- Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
- Availability for urgent geographical relocations
