At Kariera Recruitment Services, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Engineering Manager on behalf of our client, One&Only Aesthesis Athens, a world-class luxury resort renowned for its exceptional service and sophisticated design.

Job Summary

A proactive and technically skilled Assistant Engineering Manager to join the Facilities & Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will support the Engineering Manager in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all resort facilities and infrastructure, maintaining the highest standards of safety, guest comfort, and operational excellence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily management of engineering operations across all resort facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, utilities, pools, and spa systems.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance teams, contractors, and external vendors to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
• Monitor and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and other critical systems.
• Ensure all technical equipment operates efficiently and comply with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and sustainability projects.
• Participate in project planning, refurbishment works, and capital improvements.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and support the team in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and asset performance.
• Train and mentor technicians, ensuring high standards of work and adherence to safety protocols.
• Support budgeting, procurement, and stock control of engineering supplies and equipment.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a hospitality engineering role, preferably within luxury hotels or resorts.
• Proven supervisory or assistant management experience.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, and building automation.
• Familiarity with local building codes, fire safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), AutoCad and MS Office.
• Fluency in Greek and professional working knowledge of English.
