We are looking for an experienced professional who has the right skills to develop and execute purchasing strategies, tracking metrics to rationalize expenses and negotiation of deals with the suppliers. He/She should be familiar with sourcing and vendor management, possess business sense, and be proficient in gathering and analyzing data, and decision-making skills.

The Purchasing Manager role will involve sourcing of equipment, goods, and services, as well as managing vendors. Additionally, he/she will analyze market trends, forecast demand, and mitigate risks to optimize the procurement process. By leveraging the knowledge of supply chain management and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, he/she will contribute to the overall success of the organization’s purchasing operations. The role commands relocation to Santorini from day one till the end of season. The resort woll be a part of "The Leading Hotels in the World" and is based in Kamari.

Responsibilities:

• Managing, monitoring and handling the supply chain.
• Responsible for all food, drink and consumable procurement for the hotel.
• Continuously monitor and improve supplier performance by tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships.
• Maintain an efficient system handling, coding and tracking of products and communicate with accounting on invoices which need researching.
• Work towards minimizing the number of suppliers and the administrative overload.
• Seek to continuously improve the effectiveness of the Purchasing operation.

Qualifications:

• Hospitality oriented.
• Interest in market dynamics along with business sense.
• Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications required (Opera, MC).
• Excellent communication with the stakeholders, organizational and problem solving skills
