Optimal, on behalf of its client operating in the hospitality industry, with a unique collection of luxury eco-chic resorts, is seeking an Executive Chef for a 5* resort in Crete.
Scope of Role
The Executive Chef will lead all culinary operations, ensuring exceptional quality, creativity, and consistency across all dining outlets. The role combines leadership, operational excellence, and financial management, with a strong focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop the kitchen team, ensuring high performance and engagement
- Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation
- Design and implement menus, recipes, and food concepts aligned with brand standards
- Manage food cost, inventory, and budgeting to ensure profitability
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients
- Oversee food preparation for all outlets, events, and special requests
- Monitor guest satisfaction and continuously enhance the dining experience
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations
Candidate Profile
- Degree/Diploma in Culinary Arts
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a 5* hotel environment
- Excellent command of English; additional languages will be considered an asset
- Creativity and passion for high-end gastronomy
- Excellent knowledge of food cost control and kitchen operations
- Solid understanding of hygiene standards (HACCP, ISO 22000)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
