About the Role
The Head Concierge is a key ambassador of The Luxury Collection brand, delivering highly personalized, culturally immersive, and anticipatory service to discerning luxury travelers. This role leads the Concierge team in curating bespoke guest experiences that reflect the authentic spirit of Rhodes, while upholding Marriott International’s luxury service standards.
The Head Concierge acts as a destination expert, relationship builder, and service leader, ensuring each guest interaction is refined, memorable, and effortless.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalized concierge services before, during, and after guest stays.
- Curate unique, tailor-made experiences highlighting Rhodes’ culture, history, gastronomy, and exclusive local offerings.
- Anticipate guest needs and preferences, proactively resolving requests and challenges with discretion and efficiency.
- Handle VIP, repeat guest, and special occasion arrangements with exceptional attention to detail.
- Maintain a visible presence in the lobby, engaging guests with warmth, professionalism, and authenticity.
- Lead, train, and mentor the Concierge team to ensure consistent luxury service delivery.
- Conduct daily briefings, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of genuine hospitality, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on seasonal events, festivals, and new experiences relevant to luxury travelers.
- Ensure full compliance with Marriott International policies, SOPs, and The Luxury Collection service philosophy.
- Utilize Marriott systems (e.g., Opera, GXP, CEC, Guest Preference platforms) effectively.
- Uphold confidentiality, data protection, and ethical standards at all times.
Requirements
- Previous concierge experience in a luxury hotel is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of the local area, events, and restaurants
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Fluency in English; other languages are an advantage
