Position Overview: Cost Controller (Group Level) – NOS Hotel & Villas
NOS Hotel & Villas is seeking a meticulous and results-oriented Cost Controller to join our team both in Athens & Sifnos. This permanent, full-time role is responsible for the continuous monitoring and analysis of costs across the group’s hospitality portfolio.
By ensuring rigorous adherence to budgetary targets and implementing year-round strategic financial planning, you will play a vital role in maintaining high profitability while supporting our commitment to premium guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Financial Oversight & Cost Analysis: Direct the daily operations of cost monitoring for both active season expenditures and off-season maintenance or capital projects. Oversee all property expenditures, specifically focusing on Food & Beverage (F&B), supplies, and operational costs.
· Inventory & Audit Control: Coordinate and supervise regular stock-takes across all departments; analyze variances between theoretical and actual consumption to enhance efficiency.
· Procurement & Vendor Management: Verify and check invoices and claims from group-wide suppliers and vendors to ensure all expenditures are accurately captured and properly recorded.
· Process Improvement & Harmonization: Develop and implement standardized cost structures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for purchasing, receiving, and storing goods across different business units to enhance productivity.
· Pricing & Revenue Support: Collaborate with F&B and Management teams to maintain accurate recipe costing and contribute to strategic menu pricing that drives occupancy and revenue.
· Strategic Reporting & HR Metrics: Produce regular financial reports and HR-related cost metrics for Management and Head Office, contributing to group-wide projects and system rollouts.
· Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, health and safety protocols, and company policies, while preparing for and responding to unexpected financial crises.
· Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager, HR Executive, and department heads to foster a culture of cost-consciousness and inclusive workplace practices without compromising service quality.
Requirements

Experience: 5 years of experience in cost control or similar accounting or financial positions, ideally within luxury hospitality or multi-entity service environments.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related education; professional certification is preferred.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel) and proficiency with ERP or HRIS financial systems.

Analytical Thinking: Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Leadership Qualities: Results-oriented leader with a strong focus on strategic planning and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Communication: Excellent command of Greek and English; ability to liaise effectively between site Managers and Head Office.

Mobility: Based at the Head Office with a requirement for occasional travel to Sifnos and other group locations for site visits and peak-period support.
