Our boutique hotel in Mykonos is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Head Waiters/Waitresses. We are committed to providing our guests with a world-class dining experience, and we need enthusiastic and service-oriented professionals to help us achieve this goal. The candidate must be able to create a pleasant and welcoming environment, at all times, and constantly display feelings of positivity and calmness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Service: Provide warm, friendly, and efficient service to guests, addressing their needs and preferences with professionalism and a genuine smile.
  2. Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with our menu offerings, including daily specials, and provide recommendations to guests, taking into account their tastes and dietary requirements.
  3. Order Management: Take guest orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring they are delivered to the kitchen promptly and that the correct dishes are served.
  4. Table Setup: Set and reset dining tables with impeccable attention to detail, ensuring they are clean and properly arranged for each guest.
  5. Suggestive Selling: Upsell our offerings, such as wine pairings, desserts, and other special promotions, to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
  6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the waitstaff, kitchen, and bar teams to ensure smooth and coordinated service.
  7. Quality Control: Monitor the quality and presentation of dishes before serving them to guests, and address any issues promptly.
  8. Beverage Service: Serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, with precision and knowledge of proper pouring techniques.
  9. Billing and Payments: Process guest checks accurately, handle payments, and provide guests with a smooth and efficient check-out experience.
  10. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including clearing and cleaning tables, and adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a fine dining or upscale hotel environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
