About the role
We are seeking a Hotel Operations Manager to join our 5* luxury hotel in Rhodes. As Hotel Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth coordination across all departments. You will work closely with the Hotel Manager to maintain service excellence, optimize performance, and create a positive work culture. The Operations Manager is committed to maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional service, while maintaining full compliance with legislation, internal procedures, and the hotel’s standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to plan and manage core hotel functions, including quality, standards, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Manage daily operational challenges and ensure all departments consistently deliver high-quality guest service.
- Ensure implementation and regular review of SOPs across all departments.
- Conduct regular operational meetings to review daily issues, performance goals, and guest feedback.
- Maximize profitability through consistent delivery of excellent services.
- Address guest concerns promptly and resolve complaints, coordinating with department heads.
- Participate in VIP guest arrivals and tour operator inspections.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities for cleanliness and maintenance.
- Act as Hotel Manager’s deputy during absences and represent the hotel at events.
- Perform Manager on Duty shifts, if required.
- Conduct regular fire safety, health, and safety checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for guests, staff, and all individuals on hotel premises.
- Promote a positive work culture through effective communication and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management.
- Minimum 4 years of proven supervisory experience in a luxury 5-star hotel environment, preferably within Front Office or Food & Beverage operations.
- Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of any additional foreign language will be considered an asset.
- Proficient in PMS systems, Microsoft Office, and daily operational tools.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team-management skills.
- Outstanding communication abilities and exceptional guest-service skills.
