Company Overview: Gundari creates sustainable luxury resorts that offer immersive experiences, in spectacular locations, at a slower rhythm. Our first resort, in the dramatic and stunning Folegandros, will launch in May 2024.

The ideal candidate, under the general guidance of the Consultant Chef and the General Manager, will provide the highest food quality consistent with cost control and profitability margins of the hotel’s kitchen to maximise guest satisfaction and food profitability. All work is carried out in line with the hotel’s guidelines, the departmental business plan, the corporate guidelines, and service concepts.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Three years minimum experience at Executive or Sous Chef position.
  • Previous Pre-Opening Experience.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of menu engineering, development, and costing
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
  • Confident in working with branded operations.
  • Excellent command of both English and Greek language.
  • Well-groomed with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
