Job Description: Field Service Engineer
Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a member or supervise a team of technicians provided by either the customer or MAN. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and execute retrofit upgrades on existing installations.
- Perform standard maintenance to the company’s engine portfolio.
- Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis of mechanical and electronic engine failures.
- Assist engineers with all duties related to diesel engines.
- Stay up to date with and implement internal technical modifications and information.
- Manage various projects at all organizational levels.
- Create comprehensive English service reports detailing executed work, conclusions, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Electronic Engineering.
- 3 years’ experience with MAN engines will be highly evaluated.
- Experience with ME engines.
- Technical knowledge of electronic and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with daily vessel operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Basic computer skills.
- Fluent and certified user of English language, both verbally and orally.
- Team player with a keen approach to learning.

Travel Requirements: This position requires intensive travel by car, train, plane, launch boat, and occasionally by helicopter at short notice. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing plans and professional circumstances are essential.
