We are seeking a Sales & Events Manager to drive revenue growth and expand our clientele at our city hotel in Athens. You will proactively generate business through outbound sales, telemarketing, direct mail, hotel tours, and events. This role is critical in identifying new revenue streams, building relationships with key clients, and optimizing performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with the hotel’s business objectives.
- Identify new revenue streams (corporate events, weddings, social events, partnerships).
- Target key accounts and expand the hotel’s clientele, including local businesses, international companies, and event planners.
- Track, monitor, and report KPIs (leads generated, conversion rates, revenue, event bookings).
- Build and maintain affiliations eg with Local/International Event Planners & DMCs for group and banquet business.
- Negotiate special rates with corporate clients and travel agencies.
- Coordinate with F&B, operations, and front office to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Strengthen long-term professional relationships and generate repeat business.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in hospitality sales or events (city hotel experience most preferably).
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency with PMS systems and client extranets.
- Fluency in Greek and English (additional languages will be positively evaluated).
- Proven track record in generating new revenue streams (corporate, MICE, weddings, social events) and expanding client portfolios.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor KPIs (conversion, revenue, market penetration) and optimize sales performance.
- Existing affiliations and network within hospitality and city hotel clientele will be highly valued.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills with ability to build lasting relationships.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across different departments.
- Results-driven, adaptable, and motivated by achieving and exceeding sales goals.
