We are looking for a Product Development Manager for our premises in Athens.

The company maintains a leading role in the paper and packaging industry. As an integrated company, we specialize in the production of recycled containerboard and a diverse range of corrugated packaging solutions.
Job Summary
As a Business Development Manager you will focus on growing stronger business relationships in a specific market while also increasing revenue through both new and existing accounts. Focus is on discovering new leads and new products/applications. This role is critical in identifying new market opportunities, expanding our presence, and closing existing market gaps with a focus also on European trends.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and markets, particularly aligned with trends in Europe.
- Develop and implement strategic plans, together with the sales manager, to grow market share and increase revenue.
- Analyze current market gaps and develop actionable plans to address them.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to support client acquisition and retention strategies.
- Act as the bridge between Sales and Operations to ensure business opportunities are operationally feasible and efficiently executed.
- Prepare business cases, forecasts, and presentations for new opportunities.
- Attend relevant industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build strategic relationships.
- Monitor market developments and adjust business development strategies accordingly.
- Lead all prospecting activities and connect Product/Sales leaders with the appropriate contact.
- Keep a wide knowledge base on all Group’s product lines and a wide network of key contacts within the different companies and divisions.
- Develop a wide network with Sales in-charge and ensure a smooth collaboration leading to successful transactions.
- Provide market intelligence analysis in support of identified new market segments and solutions.
Qualifications required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles.
- Strong knowledge of the paper industry is required.
- Proven track record in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, especially in aligning commercial and operational goals.
- Proactive, strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset.
- Familiarity with European business practices and market trends.
