Gefsinus is one of the largest contract catering companies, operating in the field of F&B management in Greece. The company employs 1.200 people and has 4 production units, including an ultra-modern one of 10.000 sq.m. at Krioneri Attikis, which has been built according to the International and European standards.

 

The company specializes in covering the catering needs of educational institutes, companies, industrial facilities, hospitals, military installations, sports institutes and other establishments, cooperating with more than 70 clients and managing 120 units all over Greece.

 

Gefsinus is serving daily 70.000 people and specializes in three types of activities:

  • Production of meals in the CPU and delivery to clients
  • Operation of F&B restaurants in the client’s premises
  • Planning & execution of corporate events

 

We are currently seeking for a Food Technologist (Τεχνολόγος Τροφίμων) to join our Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Team, empowering one of our sites in Avlonas Attica.

 

His/her responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinate the control of raw materials, chemical ingredients, packaging materials and final products in accordance with company’s requirements and GMP’s
  • On-going communication with producers and suppliers
  • Perform internal & external (suppliers) quality audits
  • Contribute to personnel training and development
  • Draft and review HACCP paperwork and quality assurance system procedures, forms, and manuals
  • Monitor legislation issues and communicate with public authorities
  • Prepare instructions for compliance on environmental issues
  • Ensure quality standards in all stages of production

 

Desired qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Agriculture, or related field
  • Master’s Degree in related sciences, will be considered an asset
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar position, preferably in Food & Beverage company
  • Knowledge of proper and integrated agricultural management systems
  • Deep knowledge of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction whilst strong sense of responsibility
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, results-driven approach
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office
  • Valid Health Certificate
