Elval Colour was founded in 1977 and is a subsidiary of ELVALHALCOR Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry.  Elval Colour has more than 40 years of experience in aluminium coating and colour matching solutions. Coils and strips can be produced in any colour to satisfy the most demanding aesthetic requirements along with several options of special functional coatings. At our factory located near Thiva, we operate liquid painting lines, electrostatic painting lines and aluminum passivation lines, as well as a unit to produce paints used in aluminum painting.

 

We are looking for

QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER

to join our team in our plant at Thiva, Viotia.

 

Job Purpose

To monitor quality and optimize the production and liquid waste processes. Quality Assurance for main relevant ISO, REACH and National certifications. The role may need depending on the candidate profile travelling to customers for technical support,  trouble shooting and product development.

 

Responsibilities

  • Quality control of produced material
    • Collection and analysis of QC samples and parameters from the running production
    • Organize projects for improving final product evaluation
  • Train/Support employees on quality activities to be carried out during production.
  • Organize and analyze routine artificial ageing tests for produced materials
  • Organize trials for qualifications of raw materials
  • Organize and perform, if necessary, laboratory analysis regarding raw materials and products
  • Participate in claim investigation procedure and support root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Provide customer technical support in product related questions
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management system
  • Maintain and calibrate the Quality Control instruments
  • Prepare and lead Audits performed by certification bodies and national organizations
  • Production Liquid Waste Management

 

Additional / Optional responsibilities

  • Develop or optimize existing evaluation tests.
  • Develop or optimize existing sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.
  • Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
  • Tenacity and willingness to learn.

 

Qualifications

Mandatory

  • Chemical or Chemical Engineering or Material science degree.
  • Other physical science graduates can be considered.
  • Excellent knowledge of English Language

Optional

  • Previous experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge in Sustainability and Carbon footprint management
