The destination comprises several distinct sites featuring five-star hotels, luxury private residences, a world-class golf experience, and many year-round activities. Navarino Dunes is home to The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and Costa Navarino Residences. Navarino Bay is the setting for Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, W Costa Navarino and Navarino Agora, a curated marketplace. Both sites have signature golf courses, while at Navarino Hills there are two further signature golf courses.

Costa Navarino is looking for a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie. The selected candidate will follow the instructions of Pastry Chef de Partie and maintain brand standards, ensure safe usage and demonstration of all kitchen equipment, showing knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, material storage with HAACP. They will prepare and bake different dessert types, assist and oversee subordinates while maintaining adequate supply and ensures proper storage and refrigeration. They will decorate themed buffets set up and assist with the material orders and check the deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and create the producers that have been set
  • Demonstrate proper and safe usage of all pastry equipment
  • Have knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation
  • Respond appropriately to guests’ needs during the hours of operation
  • Check that all food and beverage outlets’ orders are at the correct level and do not surpass the stocks which are required
  • Fill the daily HAACP documents with temperatures
  • Assist the supervisors with material orders and check the deliveries
  • Help and oversee the subordinates with the tasks that are assigned


Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year in the same position or at least 3 years as commis chef (experience in an international 5* hotel chain will be considered as an advantage)
  • Pastry degree
  • Ability to speak, write and converse freely in Greek and in English
  • Good hygiene knowledge and HACCP Standards
  • High energy, ability to work under pressure, good organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Team cooperation skills
  • Execute and oversee that the tasks and recipes meet the expectation
  • Compliance with the cleaning schedule
