MAKRIS Athens by Domes

Domes Resorts lands in Athens, introducing our first degustation restaurant in Thissio. Our talented, Michelin Starred Chef Patron Petros Dimas, alongside with a team of culinary experts will create the ultimate fine dining experience based on Greek creative cuisine.

We are currently hiring for Athens, looking for a highly energetic and passionate Pastry A', joining our team at MAKRIS Athens by Domes.

The Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for pastry and dessert preparation, with excellent technical baking skills and attention to detail. From preparing high-quality pastries, cakes, and chocolates to assisting in the execution of visually refined plated desserts, the Pastry Chef de Partie plays a key role in delivering a memorable dining experience. The role requires creativity, precision, and the ability to manage a pastry station efficiently while supporting the Pastry Chef in maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and kitchen organization.

Some of the responsibilities you will be entrusted with:

  • Prepare and present high-quality pastry and dessert creations according to MAKRIS standards and recipes.
  • Assist in the development and execution of seasonal dessert menus in collaboration with the Pastry Chef and culinary team.
  • Ensure consistency, creativity, and attention to detail in all pastry preparations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry station at all times.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management.
  • Support the kitchen team during service to ensure smooth and timely delivery of dishes.


Requirements

Useful to have:

  • Culinary or Pastry Arts diploma will be considered an asset.
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Proven experience as Pastry Chef de Partie / Pastry A in a fine-dining restaurant or luxury hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of modern pastry techniques and dessert presentation.
  • Passion for gastronomy and creativity in dessert preparation.
