Job Description

A day in a life of a Communications Strategist / Technical Writer

As a Communications Strategist / Technical Writer, you will become part of our fast-growing Strategy Team, the Communications Strategist / Technical Writer will report directly to the Strategy Team Lead and will be expected to synthetise and orchestrate communication activities for various projects.

As Communications Technical Writer you will...

• Be the first point of contact for receiving and analysing Requests for Offers (technical specs)
• Read between the lines to understand the needs of the client according to technical specs
• Plan and oversee the submission process
• Manage internal & external resources providing input to offers & large-scale tenders 
• Determine the clearest & most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension
• Contribute to tender & offer writing by drafting/editing easy-to-understand text
• Review and copyedit content developed by other contributors
• Produce high-quality documentation in relation to offers/tender submission

As a Communication Strategist, your main duties will be:

• Connect the dots in understanding the needs of the client
• Develop effective communication strategies based on client’s needs
• Liaise with project managers and be the link across different production teams
• Provide detailed briefings to implementation/creative teams
• Liaise with partners for the implementation of projects
• Propose and implement a variety of communication channels and activities
• Develop slogans, copy and unique-selling-propositions for our clients / potential clients
• Develop and execute stakeholder engagement activities
• Design and implement effective media plans
• Assist in planning and implementation of online & offline events

Qualifications

If you have...

• 5+ years of work experience in communications planning/management
• University degree in Communications, Marketing or EU relations
• Excellent command of the English language
• Deep understanding of the tools and concepts underlying sound communications planning (audience mapping, channel selection, communication matrix, etc.)
• Proven experience of working with a wide variety of communication channels, including events, press, print and online media and social media
• Proven working experience in technical writing of offers & large-scale tenders
• Proven experience of working in a multinational environment
