Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team, based in Volos, Greece.
By joining this role, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse, guaranteeing the timely and accurate supply of materials to the plant. You will also be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels (in terms of quantity, quality, and value) at the lowest possible cost, while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
Your role will encompass:
• Coordinating and supervising material receipt, including quality and quantity checks, SAP registration, and proper storage in designated locations. Managing returns of non-conforming materials to suppliers.
• Ensuring timely and accurate issuance of materials to production and maintenance teams, with proper SAP entries and documentation.
• Monitoring the condition and suitability of stored materials, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and storage requirements.
• Managing and controlling inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and monitoring their financial value.
• Organizing and maintaining warehouse layout, cleanliness, and material traceability.
• Coordinating cycle counts and annual stocktakes, ensuring alignment between physical and system inventory.
• Managing material transportation and liaising with suppliers and transport companies for scheduling deliveries and shipments.
• Supervising and guiding warehouse personnel, including maintenance-related activities for stored materials (e.g. cleaning, protection, inspections).
What you bring to the role:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally with specialization in Inventory Management.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in warehouse or inventory management.
• Strong knowledge of spare parts and inventory management processes.
• Good understanding of accounting principles related to warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP MM.
• Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
