Executive team of kariera.gr is looking on behalf of a client - a leading retailer, for a Head of Supply Chain. 

Responsibilities:

Strategy

• Support development and implementation of supply chain action plans and warehouse footprint optimization.
• Use Lean methodologies to establish a continuous improvement approach
• Focuses heavily in project work to standardize, centralize and improve processes and introduce new ways of working in Hubs.
• Identifying, analyzes, develops, implements and measures solutions to scale and improve our warehouse network for forward and reverse logistics
• Collaborate closely with Distribution for resource optimization, end to end profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction
• Improve supply chain execution by directing a flow path channel from supplier to store to best fit sales, in-stock, and profit metrics
• Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital
• Supports make-or-buy decision in all aspects related to warehousing operations
• Sets warehousing CAPEX & OPEX and productivity agendas

Operations

• Optimize operational management of warehouse network
• Leads the selection of third party logistics providers to meet standards and SLAs
• Supports strategic business management processes (IBP) by providing functional inputs (cost/capacity/service/lead times)
• Manages warehousing network spend and related activities, including budget development

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience in supply chain function in a management role required (Retail and Commercial Experience desirable)
• Experience of managing transformation in areas of logistics and supply chain operations, system development and technology is a must
• Demonstrated business acumen (i.e., ability to understand key aspects of the company’s business strategy)
• Expertise in WH management procedures and best practices is a must
• Hands-on Experience of SAP WM is an advantange, experience in WMS is a must
• Effective communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation and team building skills
• Strong project management skills, with proven ability to deliver results on time and within budget
• Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
