About your future role
Before you start working in our Compliance Department, you will go through well-structured education that will prepare you for your new role. This role provides you with the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, combining work from home and from the office. Your local team will be based in Greece.
Your key responsibilities in this role will be
- Actively supporting the company DPO in all aspects related to the GDPR
- Providing support and responds independently to Compliance-related requests and initiatives of the company
- Drafting/updating the contents of the company Policies and Guidelines within the Department perimeter
- Delivering training and awareness programs to the employees
- Preparing reports and supervises progress of reports
- Validating evidence and provides support for certification and / or audit activities of customers or third parties
- Having extensive experience in problem analysis to independently provide answers to questions and accommodate requests from different Departments
- Carrying out planning actions autonomously within the timeframes, resources and objectives assigned
- Promptly reporting exceptions and deviations from expectations and takes charge of remediate actions
- Operating in line with the standards, internal operating rules and best practices on the subject and takes into account the expectations of the Customer-facing Departments to which it regularly reports
- Acting as point of reference for the Departments on the assigned competence domains
- Setting up and managing monitoring and control programs in line with the assigned competence domains

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role
- Bachelor's or/and master’s degree ideally in Law. Degrees in Finance, business and/or computer science fields will also be seriously taken into account in the light of experience background
- Legal, Compliance or Internal Audit experience at companies in the banking sector, payment services companies or in consultancy companies specialized in supporting Compliance and the DPO
- Legal or strong Regulatory Advisory or Regulatory Consulting background gained at a top-tier financial institution or major consultancy firm
- Very good knowledge of the Data Privacy (GDPR) and good knowledge of the payment services sector (PSD2) regulations
- Hands on experience in GDPR adoption, design and implementation within the organization, such as maintenance of Records of Processing Activities, elaboration on legal bases on data processing, cases of personal data transfers, Data Processing Impact Assessments, etc.
Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CIPP, ICA) will be considered an asset
- Expert analytical skills with experience in researching, collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information on various subjects with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and presentation) skills and organizational abilities, including the ability to liaise professionally across all levels of staff, in clear and succinct manner to coordinate various stakeholders and work in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Italian language will be considered an asset)
- Results oriented and able to work under pressure and deliver within set deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
