PeopleCert is looking for an iOS/macOS Developer responsible for the development and maintenance of native applications aimed at a range of iOS and Mac devices and their integration with our back-end services.

You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

The successful candidate has to be self-motivated, an excellent problem solver and a fast learner. Very strong technical skills and demonstrated experience in writing commercial grade apps for native iOS is a must.


As an iOS/macOS Developer, your tasks will include the following:

  • Develop new and maintain published native iOS/Mac applications that will be linked with the company’s portal
  • Perform unit tests and preliminary debugging to ensure that the programs work according to specifications. Apply the corrections proposed by the analysts and/or the software quality assurance team
  • Cooperate with the chief architect, analysts, team leader and other programmers
  • Perform research on new technologies, tools and solutions
  • Act as second level of support for production systems users
  • Transfer knowledge and know-how to other developers


What we look for:

  • University and/or Postgraduate Degree in the field of Computer Science or related field of studies
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the field
  • One or more (business or independent) applications published on Apple App Store
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • Knowledge of iOS SDK and supporting development tools (Xcode, Instruments etc)
  • Knowledge on device memory, performance and energy handling
  • Knowledge of SWIFT and Objective-C, Cocoa Touch and iOS frameworks
  • Knowledge of Mac development is a plus
  • Good knowledge on managing applications through the Apple Developer and iTunes Connect Portals

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
