We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior IT Operations Assistant to join our IT team at our Piraeus office. This role represents an evolution of usual IT Assistant position, moving beyond first-level support to incorporate proactive system monitoring and light automation.

Responsibilities & Duties

• First level assistance to end users: (Office suite, software installation, hardware, peripherals etc)
• Proactive Infrastructure Monitoring: Utilize existing dashboards and monitoring platforms to oversee the health of equipment and network connectivity, identifying and addressing warnings before they impact users
• Asset & Lifecycle Management: Preparing and configuration of new equipment (laptops, screens) for delivery as per corporate standards
• Automation & Efficiency: Identify repetitive manual tasks and work with the team to introduce script-based automations or scripts to improve operational efficiency
• Basic cabling maintenance
• Inventory update and maintenance

Requirements & Skills:

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in an IT support or IT assistant role
• IT related education or degree
• Basic programming knowledge (preferably Python) will be considered a strong advantage
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret monitoring data and logs
• Hardware Knowledge: Solid understanding of PC hardware, peripherals and basic networking concepts
• Self-motivated and solution-oriented attitude
• Any additional relevant technical knowledge will be considered an asset

Nice to have:

• AI Enthusiasm: Familiarity with AI concepts or APIs (e.g. OpenAI, LangChain) and an interest in how they can be applied to improve internal processes
• Scripting: Knowledge of VBA for Excel automation or PowerShell for system administration
• Databases: Understanding of concepts, select and CRUD queries
• Certifications: Any relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
