As a Senior Systems and Network Engineer

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, and manage network infrastructure including routing, switching, and firewalling, in Fortinet and Cisco solutions

• Configure and maintain NAC, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation

• Respond to and resolve security incidents, network outages, and system failures in the corporate helpdesk and incident management system

• Manage, maintain and update Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, File Services)

• Operate and optimize Hyper-V virtualization platforms

• Ensure high availability through clustering, replication, and backup strategies

• Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively address vulnerabilities and threats

• Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards

• Provide L3 support and troubleshooting for complex network, security, and systems incidents

• Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, server configurations, and procedures

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve security posture and infrastructure efficiency

• Mentor junior engineers and drive infrastructure improvement projects

 

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

•5+ years in a systems/network engineering role

•Security-first mindset with real-world incident handling experience

•Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices (NIST, ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA)

•Hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch) and Cisco technologies (Catalyst, Nexus, ISE)

•Deep understanding of networking protocols: BGP, OSPF, VLAN, MPLS, SD-WAN

•Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL/TLS)

•Hands-on experience with Hyper-V cluster management

•Proven expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) — AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO

•Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

•Good communication skills in English

 

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge on Compliance and Security policies (ISO 27001 and GDPR, NIS2, DORA regulations)

• Knowledge in Manage Engine’s services (Service Desk, Site 24x7, Patch Management)

• Knowledge on Cloud Networking Technologies like SASE, SDWan, CASB, SSE, SWG, ZTNA

• Relevant certifications are a plus: NSE 4–7, CCNA, CCNP, MCSA/MCSE, or equivalent

• Experience with Azure ARC and Azure Local (HCI Stack)

• Experience with Veeam backup solution

• Knowledge of log management tools, EDR/XDR technologies and NOC / SOC services

• Familiarity with storage technologies (FC, SAN, NAS, iSCSI)

• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, …) for automation tasks

• Experience with VMware vSphere / vCenter — ESXi hosts
